I started my Linux Career with Madrake 8.1 and it was amazing...stayed with them until 10.0 at that point I wanted more control, more packeges and a better understanding of the OS I was working with. I did some research decided I wanted a Debain based system, did some more and test drove Ubuntu & Memphis.
Currently I run Ubuntu. and learning a lot more about the OS and Linux file structures then I ever did with Mandrake...but that is there market. and they do there market very very well
