I like <a href="http://shfs.sourceforge.net/" title="sourceforge.net">shfs</a sourceforge.net> which does from what I can see the exact same thing but using the standard mount sytax (mount -t shfs [[user@]server:]/directory mountpoint). It also has a userspace tool shfsmount that you can use when not root mounting something not specially set up in fstab to be user-mountable.
