GLX offers many enhancements to those users whose systems can handle it. For example, Quake is quite a fun game, and for those Free Software enthusiasts there is Crack Attack, PlanetPenguin Racer and much more. Another application that uses the OpenGL 3D graphics card driver extension (called "GLX") is the new 3D accelerated X server, called XGL.
