I would never have guessed years ago that one of the "killer apps" to get Linux into the workplace would be as a LiveCD-basd diagnostic or recovery tool for Windows PCs. I've seen it open up more than a few previously closed minds.
While Knoppix and some other uber-LiveCD distros can do everything you need and then some, sometimes all you need is one simple tool. Puppy is fast and capable and the latest version is better than ever.
And at my home, Puppy has given new life to a tired old Windows 98 PC-- it's a great solution for home users with basic computing needs. Hopefully it will find a home in a lot of older machines whose OS is being abandoned by Microsoft.
