Running amd64 gentoo for over 2 years here. Two thumbs up - Wayyy up. And to the posters who say "not much difference", y'all are uhm, well NUTS. 64bit is WAY faster, across the board; screw conditional benchmarks, how does it FEEL? Feels fast as hell. Just do it and quit the whining. Ya think 64 is faster? Maybe? Hmmmmmm...GUH!! Another silly article on the web! Who knew?
