The Desktop Not The Distro Is What's Interesting!!

It is obvious that this Distro, in it's totality, and in it's lack of community spirit, is garbage. However, what is unique about this Distro (it's XP cloneDE) was barely touched on, and not fully explored by the author. It should have been the article's primary purpose. Even Distrowatch commented that this distro gets high hit counts (people seem interested). This should be interpreted by all of us as an indicator that Gnome and KDE are missing their mark to some (large) degree.
The source code for this DE is/should be available, it is based on Gnome/GTK, and would/could in time, fulfill the needs of those who want a desktop to be similar, and familiar with the Microsoft desktop they are now using. Offering this DE as a separate install option on primarily GTK based (centric) distros, might act as a cohesive force for GNU/GTK desktop and send KDE to the showers.
The question is. How competently, and to what depth, did they Clone, for potential GNU/Linux converts, what are the desirable parts of the Windows Desktop?
