Yes, it's way too much. And not the original spirit of Knoppix, from what I've seen. There's a place for an all-inclusive demo distro and there's a place for a clean, lean, and trim utility distro. Didn't Knoppix originally position itself as the latter? It's suffering from an identity crisis and will probably succumb to a more self-confident, compact flash-sized configuration with a lightweight set of tools for getting things done.
