Thank you for the technical update on the project. I appreciate the info. My comments were limited to what I could see in the online documentation as I have no experience with the product. You'll note, I only commented on the GL which is my primary field of knowledge.
I could not see any indication of any of these warehousing categories extending into the GL. There doesn't appear to be any Journal entry capability for these either. Did I miss something?
I've been a Financials systems implementer for 25+ years, starting with M&D, MSA, SI, Oracle, and PeopleSoft, so I admit to big system biases. But some kind of GL sub-organization breakdown (departments and products) is needed for any but the smallest organizations. I observed the supermarket example first hand watching my father manage a family-owned store for his uncle for many years and have an undergraduate degree in Marketing and Food Distribution (reasons why I'm not in retailing!).
