Yeah, it seems a bit pointless when most consider the two main competitor; MS Office and OpenOffice sufficient.
What makes things worse, is they also introduce their own proprietary format! What a waste of energy!
Why not have a lean and mean version of OpenOffice with stronger support for MS formats, etc? That'll be two reasons to market the product. Its under LGPL isn't it?
