Textmaker is fast and imports MS Office files fast wrt openoffice. The lack of a good implementation of styles makes exports to MS Office a disaster. Indeed is koffice and OOo etc. a better choice. Really good text processors don't exist unfortunately. Openoffice is often unstable and copied many stupid MS Office features and it's slow, koffice is unstable, MS office is also a disaster for large documents and has numerous bugs. So many years of textprocessing and the only stable text processor I know is latex.
