TextMaker's compatibility with Microsoft Office is superb. There is no other workprocessor on the market that can match it.
If you were sending your resume to a company or a customer you want a good first impression and get to business. Using OpenOffice.org, when the person opens the document they may experience (as I have)the annoyance of artifacts in the document as a result of the translation. By spending the $70 for TexMaker alone, you know your document will be read and not include any distractions that can detract from your presentation and your getting the job.
