I've been using Glenn Reeves' free <a href="http://home.mchsi.com/~taxcalculator/" title="mchsi.com">Tax Calculator spreadsheet</a mchsi.com> for the last few years to do my US tax calculations. They load and work prefectly well in OpenOffice.org 2.x, although the printout isn't 100% accurate so I type the results into the appropriate IRS PDF forms and print those out to generate my final copy for submission (when are the FLOSS PDF readers going to support PDF forms?).
