Internal configuration

Gosh. Never actually noticed that. I use mutt and quiting is always ok with me. It starts instantly anyway. I never even thought about configuration from inside of mutt itself. It is so ... natural to vim ~/.muttrc ;-) Not that I need to reconfigure mutt often.

I use fetchmail to actually get e-mail - so my mail is always local to me. Probably that's why starting mutt is always fast for me.
