KPhotoAlbum is another

Formerly KimBaDa, KPhotoAlbum is a powerful organizer. So powerful, in fact, that they recommend that you play with the included fake album before moving on to your own photos and organizational scheme. Once you start with your own photos, you can give each an unlimited number of tags, describing who is in them, where, when, and more. You can even draw a rough sketch and have KPhotoAlbum find the similar photo (it is fun but only works ok; it would be cool to incorporate into Flickr, though).

If one is only looking for an iPhoto clone, I have no idea if this even qualifies. But it does stand on its own as an organizational tool.
