I'm loving Picasa so far. While it's not open, it's from a community friendly source (no pun intended). My OS changes with my mood so it's nice to have the same app across all platforms.
What I'm really after though is an Amorok for images (amorok keeps my music tidy by path/naming by metadata). I've a tone of photos, added to daily by my wife with the digital camera, and a naming convension that does not match what the camera uses. Is there a manager that can do batch renaming based on metadata? "[album name][date][time][count if same minute].jpg"?
I've a CLI Magic article from a few months ago with a three step process but doing so from within a manager would be ideal.
