Virtualization here, virtualization there, blah.
What is this virtualization good for? I don't run server, mainframe or anything, just my desktop computer. Is it good for anything? Won't it require a very fast CPU with lots of RAM? Won't it slow down the system?
Does the kernel really need to have all those kinds of different virtualization things? Doesn't the kernel get bloated? Wouldn't it be better with just one?
Why was hardware virtualization made? Does it have any advantage over software virtualization? AMD made Hypervisor and I think Intel made vPro or something. Wouldn't it be better if they just made one instead of making one each?
Tricky with hardware virtualization, software virtualization, virtualization and paravirtualization. OpenVZ, Linux-VServer, Hypervisor, vPro, Xen, IPC/PID/UTS virtualization, KVM, etc, its so many.
