How could I be so careless? A quick fix: substitute the word "coworker" for "friend" and either "cubicle" or "mom's basement" for "house" and perhaps the resulting scenario will sound more familiar. Hopefully more readers will recognize the situation and be helped by GCstar. Thanks for pointing this out.
