I have a cheap mp3 player that just plays the songs in a folder in alpha-numeric order. When you configure a media device in amarok, you can set the names of the folders and files based on the mp3 tags like<nobr> <wbr></nobr>/%album/%track-%title.mp3 lets me play the songs on an album in order without fiddling manually.
