Who's 'We' ?

You should understand that you're not the only one using Linux. Nobody forces you to use any software coming with an installer, whether it be free software, freeware, spyware, or proprietary software.

On the other hand, there are people using Linux who have better things to do with their lives. They don't want to learn all the various ways to install software under Linux. It's such a waste of time, that they would probably also accept spyware build into regular free software -- just to get rid of the installation riddle.

Or do you *really* think it would be such a problem to set up a special APT repository full of ad- and spyware and talk people into using it? Maybe the software is really doing useful things? Stuff that the free software community has been unable to provide so far?

Talking about spyware, I know lots of free software guys who couldn't wait educating Google about their private eMail conversations.

Get a clue and stop spreading FUD, please.
