You're missing the point.
This article is about Knoppix, not Ubuntu. By bringing Ubuntu into every topic, whether or not it's relevant, you've giving the Ubuntu community the reputation of being a pushy bunch of fanatics. This is something that turns most people off.
Let me give you an example. Imagine I'm a real estate agent. If you talk about your new baby's blue coat, I ignore the baby and mention that there's a beautiful new house near the blue sea. You mention that you're wondering where you're going to find the money for your baby to go to university, and I mention a property near Harvard. You get the idea? How long would you keep speaking with me if I kept on this way?
If you must bring Ubuntu into a Knoppix (or other distro) discussion, at least make sure your comments are directly relevant to Knoppix (and not just an excuse to talk about Ubuntu).
For instance, "I'm glad that Knoppix is including Beryl in the distro, just like Ubuntu is planning to in Feisty. It's just just what the Linux desktop needs to lure Windows away. Does anyone know when Beryl will become the default for Knoppix instead of being a boot switch? Is NVidia supported or will it have to wait for the Noveau drivers?"
No, he's right
