Geeklog 1.4.1 is under the GPL, but 2.0 which is under development is planned to be under another license.
So you're suggesting that we should rebuff an as yet not released piece of software because it might have a license that is objectionable to you? Even though the article was in fact about Geeklog 1.4.1 which is GPL!
