Prejudicial treatment

A decade ago the community was always complaining about software packages being only released in rpm format. Now we have everything built only for Ubuntu. If the Linux universe wants to have two package formats that's fine but it means that software needs to be released in both formats. I have many, many, MANY reasons to not like Debian based distros but I strongly advocate that packages be done in both formats. If you are going to do something, do it right.
