Yes, the WhatsThis?-completeness of k3b is really a shining example for the rest of KDE (maybe with the exception of KDEPrint).
OTOH, I found k3b sooooo easy to use (for my own *very moderate* CD burning needs), that I never needed to look at them (different to the KDEPrint ones); I only looked at them out of curiosity.
