Yeah, sure, I agree with all that -- still, how many times do you come across yet another utility or editor or whatever which looks promising and then you find out that it is half-finished because it was basically written as an exercise in "self-enrichment" and then abandoned? (Sourceforge is full with such programs.) At times like that, you wish others would take the existing project up rather than reinventing the wheel.
