Then you can use the Kgpg program that will decrypt a file and display the result on screen, without making any temporary files.
PS: encryption is like a lock, and the only thing locks give you, is time.
That said, what about the original source file, you obviously delete it, but files can be un-deleted, and partitions can be un-formatted
Better to never ever save the unencrypted file to disk at all.
