I think that the reason for my introducing pairwise testing, was to show that as the number of modules incleases, so do the testing requirements.
In my view, I feel that there is a drop in quality in the linux deliverables during the past two years, and I attribute that to inadequate testing. By using the cartesian product, it was my attempt to indicate that the number of potential tests is growing at a rate that recommends a longer period between releases, and a longer settling in time.
