I agree with all what hawhill wrote, but these aren't 'advanced' tips. They're pretty standard ones, simply other than 'default'. I strongly disagree on the root login. You shouldn't allow remote root logins at all. I barely login as root even on my local machine. The only two reasons to allow root to login are: only root account exists or there's no su/sudo; both are bad ideas.
What about the 'tricks'? Haven't seen any. Does anyone actually check the articles before they're published? If you wan't to write an article on advanced features of SSH write about using it with kerberos or keys on smartcards, and when you're refering to 'tricks' write about something that cannot be found on every second article about SSH or in the manual page itself.
