I think you really experienced a bad combination of bugs. If Yoper would work so bad here I wouldn't use it nor would we have released it.
On the couple of machines where I use Yoper, it really makes a noticeable difference compared to most distros. It certainly has it rough edges, though :) .
However there is certainly a lot of truth in your review. So I want to thank you for it and would like to ask you to keep testing Yoper. Constant and vicious testing is the best way to get things in a better shape. Your review started a nice discussion helping us to move forward and know what to work next on :) .
