Every new fedora release has been troublesome for me due to some hardware incompatibility or other. Hence, I normally do a 'every-other version' update. So far Fedora 7 has poor support for non-standard PATA Controllers (SIS, ALI) and is still a pain to get installed correctly on such systems. While I don't mind spending the time debugging the problems on non-work critical systems, there were some packages (such as dhclient-3.0.5-35.fc7, fixed subsequently) which locked up DHCP leases on our network requiring manual intervention on the dhcp server. Hence I'm not inclined to deploy it widely without letting the packages stabilize a while.
