Can anyone out there help me understand what NFS does that is so much better than SSHFS? After selling me on SSHFS, the article ends with: "...Szeredi points out that sshfs will not replace high-end systems like NFS...". In my production environment, I have 2 servers with mount points to a directory on a 3rd server. I initially set the mount up using sshfs, but after reading this, switched to nfs... I found sshfs to be much much faster... so can someone elaborate on why sshfs is not intended to replace nfs?
Thanks in advance!!
sshfs v. nfs
