My main home desktop is a Debian machine that is set up with two disks RAID1/LVM with JFS for all the LVM partitions (/, /usr, /var, /tmp, /home) and another small RAID1 non-LVM partition for /boot (also JFS). I use GRUB. I set it up around nine months ago and haven't had a single problem - really "set it and forget it". Just my experience, but JFS seems to be a really solid, professional, production-quality file system.
About nine months with JFS
