They went the clone road and dropped yet another of few things that were original and to some point worthy -- their installer, switching to Anaconda. I've recently talked with a person related to one major corporate deployment, and they're quite unhappy with ASP concluding that CentOS is way better as a clone.
While some would say that I'm engaged with a "competing" project, I also have old friends among ASPLinux team (being quite an early user of its predecessor, Black Cat Linux) and would only be glad if they treated contributors the way ALT were some 4 years ago, when I was on ASP mailing list too and suggested that...
