Read the article closely, and I think you'll find that Mr. Smith says the FSF is focusing its efforts on fighting misinformation about the GPLv3, not FUD. I think you'll also find the FSF is tolerant of GPLv3 criticism as long as the criticism is accurate and isn't used to lead people to incorrect conclusions.
