Two statements

"Amongst our fundamental principles are grass roots democracy and control"

"...some Green Party officials are uneasy about the use of blogs, which seem too uncontrolled -- never mind that more than half of those who go to the main Green Party site click on the blogs. Some, too, are uneasy about local workers gaining access to the central database, although that access is carefully controlled."

show the disparity between what the Green Party (in Canada) says and how it behaves. This is just one example of many that belie the democratic and progressive foundation of the party and why they will never become a political force. You can't attract people with ideals that you don't uphold. Those people will just leave when they discover the true nature of the party. The final paragraph is one that I support wholeheartedly, and if they can achieve that they are useful indeed.
