Hardly a new thing. FOSS and software patents were part of the platform espoused on their web site a couple of elections ago, but it disappeared over the last while. I never got a response when I pointed that out, but I'm glad it's on the agenda again. The issue of software bloat and needless e-waste is an important one that the Greens ought to be dealing with.
