Digipup: A Linux live CD for amateur radio

I've tried DigiPup 2.1.4 and found it just fine, if somewhat limited in its software selection for amateurs. It has does what you need, and does it well. If you want more apps you should compile your own live cd/dvd or get the FreeBSD version of Unix for amateur radio operators, which has a LOT of ham-related apps. It doesn't perform any better than digipup, though, and I find it somewhat slower. I'm running these on cdroms instead of dvd's, and I don't know if that makes a difference. Be aware, though, that the Unix iso is about 670mb, as opposed to less than 100mb for DigiPup, so you better have lots of ram....Mike, kc8lcy
