Personally, I also like to use "EagleEye" (http://eagleeye.sourceforge.net) in my work environment, as e.g. it shows me people I still need to reply to (and who don't have a private email address such as gmail, hotmail, yahoo, ....). To send seasons greetings, I used it to get a list of "lost friends", i.e., people with a private email address with whom I haven't been in touch for quite some time.
It's also cool just to sort your contacts according to the number of messages sent/received.
