I'm not a computer geek but someone who just wants to get away from the dominance of Windows. For me, SimplyMepis is a great distro and I'd recommend it to anyone - as far as I have found, it just works and has a good selection of packages installed by default. Certainly for anyone dipping their toes in Linux, Mepis is a good choice.
