1) Akamai is NOT one of my trusted companies, since they're involved with banner advertisements on websites, and thus attempt to track me.
2) Since Red Swoosh is owned by an advertising company, it's safe to assume its software DOES call home
3) Most torrent client options SHOULD be configurable. There isn't any reliable way for the client to auto-configure itself for assymetric connections, or for my personal preferences.
