Use Lyx to do a PDF output. Real publishers often want the thing printed out for them anyway. And if your writing's worth a damn to them, they don't care if it's printed on napkins, as long as they can read it. No real publisher accepts unsolicited work via disc or e-mail, and few would take solicited work that way.
