The different/better thumbnail this week was pure chance. When you're uploading the same video to multiple hosts, editing to make one host pick a specific frame as its thumbnail is silly, unless you're an obsessive with lots of time on his/her/its hands and render differently for each video service.
Reality = the best way to control thumbnail appearance on Blip.tv right now is to find a frame you like, render or capture it as a still and upload it as a thumbnail.
We could also do the videos as chromakey projects and have very cool backgrounds, and lots of other neat things if we had more production budget (and people) and weren't working on a tight deadline.
This is a simple little weekly news wrapup, not a big-budget Hollywood product. Please try not to forget that.
