Licensing is lame, nice to know about unusable "superior" programs

It's not just that it's closed source, which is bad enough. But the restriction on how one uses the program (i.e; commercial use) put it out of the running for anyone who has "real work" to do. You wouldn't break the law and dishonor the developer's license, would you?
