Ubuntu's Upstart event-based init daemon

Hmmm.... State based service restarts / loads triggered by altered config files. Let's see
if I incorrectly modify a config file and the service then crashes, what then? Immediate
implementation of system changes is NOT a good idea. They must be activated by root.
Show of hands, how many times has an admin made a system change, rebooted the
system a week or more later and found it won't boot? Can you say immediate down time?
