Putty is far more complex than SSHMenu. It has a myriad of config dialog panels full of obscure options. It also requires that you run the putty agent.
SSHMenu on the other hand has extremely simple setup dialogs and integrates with the standard SSH agent that will already be running in any modern desktop Linux distribution.
