well i used to live in Lebanon. there we have channaling of the power. it's rotated over the areas each six hours. well we use not a UPS but what we call there inverters which can last around 3 hours on a six wheel truck battery, and they does the same as the UPS. the problem with them is that they are nationally made and they dont have any intelligent controllers.
