The way I look at it -
I've given up on IT as a way to make a living. I'm sick and tired of being laid off because 12 Indians in Bangalore can poorly semi do my job at one tenth my salary. So, back to grad school - again.
For me to install Enlightenment or spend my time tuning a distro, I am better off paying a few dollars to download
a distro. I like Elive. It's stable and plays any multimedia files I throw its way. It is well worth a donation. Heck, I'd donate more if it wasn't demanded up front.
It's all about freedom of choice. Use it while you can.
