I´d start using Drupal today if there was a bulletproof step by step noob-friendly PostgreSQL-8.2 install howto (preferably added with a similar howto install pgAdmin III v-1.8 instead of the default v-1.4 in Gutsy).
The howtos I found on the wikis and forums from Drupal, Ubuntu, PostgreSQL and beyond are all outdated and/or messy and/or incomplete. By trial and error I got this working once on Feisty with a nice howto by Daz at http://bioinformaticsonline.co.uk/ but unfortunately I messed up somewhere further down the line and -shame on me- did not had it properly documented.
Any pointer to a good starting point is highly appreciated and I will try again for sure.
