I need to amend my earlier comment.
I was thinking in one direction and wandered from the topic. As I read the article and the website, I was thinking about a couple other proprietary types who have been trying to sell their proprietary stuff to work on Linux, like this one does. The others I was thinking of were complaining about the open source format. "if" the GPL could be modified, they end up arguing to accommodate the proprietary stuff, they'd be more successful.
So, on a whole, as long as they are just selling their stuff to work on FOSS and they realize what they are getting into, then knock yourself out. some, like yourself may pay for if ithey feel there is value in it.
I guess I was thinking about the others who were grumping about the playing field they chose to play on. That doesn't yet apply to this.
