I also agree with the above post, however for the time being because in the whole scheme of things since Linux only represents a small percentage of desktops worldwide you can probably get by with a poorly configured system because the vast majority of malware is directed at the windows crowd.
also I was wondering why you did not mention Clonezilla http://www.clonezilla.org/ as one of the options for a Ghost replacement.
