Well, most browsers display fonts OK, and the font rendering is handled by the OS, so I don't see why video has to be different. It's fine for a browser to hand off to the OS, but it should be the *browser* handing off in a uniform way, so we can deploy to everybody and not make them install all these nasty plugins.
